Today, I’m talking about something that’s very personal for me – my skin. In a world that celebrates perfection, it’s hard for me to admit that I’ve never had perfect skin. I’ve struggled with acne prone, sensitive skin since I was a teen. Now that I’m in my late 20’s, it’s just one of those things that I’ve accepted and learned to navigate. I think that’s something that happens as you get older – You learn to face your insecurities and love them because they’re part of you.

One thing my sensitive skin has been good for (I can’t believe I’m saying this!), is it’s forced me to try TONS of cleansing trends. Recently, my friend told me about multi-masking, where you use several different treatments at the same time to get a customized skin remedy (basically, this is what an esthetician does during a facial). I was all in! It’s seriously such an easy process, and the results are SO much better than just using one mask on your entire face.

To make it easy, I’ve outlined my simple 3-Step routine below!

Step 1: Prep Your Skin Using Clarisonic

If there’s one beauty product I can’t live without, it’s my Clarisonic cleansing brush. Before I was gifted the Clarisonic Smart Profile Uplift at an event (their newest brush), I’d been using a Clarisonic Mia 2 for years. I use my Clarisonic Smart Profile brush twice a day every day for cleansing and exfoliating. It’s crazy how much improvement I’ve seen in my skin’s texture and tone. My pores are smaller and even blemishes are less frequent!

Before applying the masks, I like to prep my skin with my Clarisonic Smart Profile brush so that I have a fresh canvas for mask application. Clarisonic cleanses skin 6X better than using just your hands, getting rid of any lingering dirt and oil. Cleansing before you apply the masks also helps increase absorption of the skincare products.

Step 2: Apply the L’Oreal Masks

L’Oreal makes some amazing masks that are super affordable and easy to use. The Argile-Pure Face Mask line is perfect for multi-masking because each mask targets different problem areas of the skin. The three I recommend are:

  • Pure Clay Purify & Mattify Mask (mint green mask) I use the Purify & Mattify Mask on my forehead and t-zone to help tighten my pores. I have oily combination skin across my t-zone so this mask was perfect for reducing shine and refreshing my complexion without being too drying.
  • Pure Clay Exfoliate & Refining Mask (red clay mask) This exfoliating mask is great for my cheeks and jawline where need some extra smoothing and polishing. The Exfoliate & Refining Mask removes dead skin cells and immediately refines texture and makes my skin appear more polished.
  • Pure Clay Detox & Brighten Mask (charcoal gray mask) I use this charcoal mask on my chin and around my nose. I have the most clogged pores in those areas, so this mask is perfect because it deep cleans the pores and draws-out any deep impurities.

Step 3: Cleanse the Mask Off Using Clarisonic

After about 10 minutes of letting the masks do their magic, I use my Clarisonic to remove the masks, quick and easy! The masks come right off with the exfoliating brush head (2X better removal than with your hands, plus it’s gentler than a washcloth).

I finish my cleansing routine by applying a serum moisturizer (I like L’Oreal’s Triple Power Revitalizer Serum) with my Firming Massage head on my Clarisonic, which tightens my pores and does some preventative anti-aging.

And voilà! I feel refreshed, bright, and beautiful. Check out below where you can buy all the products I mentioned in this post!
